These candle holders are 4.5" in diameter x 1.5" high and weigh a bit over 1.2 lbs each. They have a satin finish that is apparently easily marred as every example of these that I seen has a scuff or two. Sasaki made glass for Mikasa in the 1970s-90s. I have seen Sasaki marketed glass made in several countries but could not find an information about that. Sasaki merged with Toyo Glass in 2002 and they seem to mostly make kitchenware now, but have several subsidiaries that make kitchenware and some art and kiriko glass. Guessing these candle holders were made before their merger with Toyo Glass, maybe in the 1970s or 80s.

Nice find Kevin. These are so stylish, and not any I have seen before.
I'm not sure of the era, 80s seems about right.
Soichiro Sasakura seemed to have had a very zen style about his designs. Simple forms in great colours and always sand blasted to bring the colour down. I have a vase of his and there are matching candlestick to go with it I don't have. Different to these ones, but still very pared back shapes.
      Here's my vase: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/131281-sasaki-japan-glass-bud-vase

@racer4four - Thanks for you comment, information and link Karen. I already saw your vase and know where one is but don't want to spend the amount the seller wants for it. I really like it!

Thanks for loving my Sasaki candle holders fortapache and Nafssalg!
