    Wondering what this is? About 3 1/2 in long and 3/4 inch tall. Looks like bone and then some kind of materiel. Was with some old embroidery needles. Have a 2nd made of mother of pearl and some material but it is falling apart.

      It looks like a little 'buffer' used during manicures/pedicures to polish the nails...??

      I agree with anythingobscure and will add if it was found with sewing stuff they probably used for for a pin cushion or lint catcher.
