I bought this at a garage sale, with little to no information about it for 30 dollars. I have come to find out that it is a 1939 mercury pacemaker Worlds Fair Edition bicycle. I am missing the gas tank and original seat for it. If you or anyone who reads this has these or knows where i can get them it would be much appreciated
You might try Memory Lane Classics. You'll need to contact them. They have a lot of stuff that they don't put in the catalogue. Here's a link: http://www.memorylane-classics.com/
You are right it is a Mercury pacemaker but with a lot of the wrong parts. and the parts that are missing are very very hard to find. the fenders are shelby fenders from about the same year bike. The sprocket is wrong and looks to have a multi speed rear end. I have all the correct parts for the bike. if you are interested in selling it please let me know I would offer 4 times what you paid for it. Thanks,Nate
please let me know
He may be right but I'd definitely keep it anyway. When are you going to find another one. Here's a great link for your bike: https://oldbike.wordpress.com/1939-murray-mercury-pacemaker-%E2%80%93-the-new-york-worlds-fair-model/
npence, im not interested in selling it right now, but i am extremely interested in buying some parts that you may or may not have.
If I had that bike I wouldn't care what is original and what is not. I would get it to ride it
hate to say it but i would have to try and do a cat walk
