Here is something that's been on my "glass bucket list" for many, many years - a French paperweight from the "classic" period of the mid - 19th C by one of the top manufacturers.
At last, my goal was achieved at a fairly modest price, for this weight does have a small chip out of the base - yet it displays perfectly.
This miniature weight was made by Clichy, & features 9 different complex canes, including one distinctive pink & white Clichy rose cane.
It's already one of my favourite things in the whole world.
Collecting is magical, because anything is possible, & you really can make your dreams come true...
Awesome!
IronLace, what a beautiful and special object! The canes within are stunning. I can just feel how much you love it. And I wanted to also tell you that your home and garden are beautiful, too! I love cottage gardens - there is always something new to discover in them each day. :)
WOW !!!!!
Many thanks, Mrstyndall!
Thanks so much for your lovely compliments, Michelle!
I agree, the Clichy canes are really something else...the colours are vibrant, yet elegant. A class act!
Thanks also, vetraio50!
It certainly has the wow factor - so petite & dainty, yet with a presence far beyond it's diminutive size...
