This piece has been hanging on my wall for many years, it is a vibrant depiction of a Dutch Windmill in the countryside, The border shows a tri color impressed molded design, could be Nouveau or Deco, since it is marked Hungary, probably post WWI.
The color application seems to be a mix of air brush and a mechanical tool which was a bit off.
The 'Holland Mania' I refer to, is something we discussed before here on CW. The trend of Dutch motifs on various decorative pieces, in Europe and America, early 20th century. A book was published about this phenomenon with this title.
I have tried to identify the maker without any success.
Gorgeous plate, such a serene windmill image & lovely sundown sky
Thank you Jenni, it is brightly colored, that always attract me. lol.
