This is a beautiful hand-thrown articulated piece of pottery.
The Potter is Susan Brown Freeman out of California.
Her work is meticulous. Wish I could find more of it.
This vase is 7" high x 5" wide.
This is beautiful! Rather than “articulated”, I believe it is described as “pierced”.
Thank you. I am not a pottery expert. I did use the wrong term. they listed it as rendered reticulation. Does that ring a bell?
I have heard of a “reticulated python” which describes the pattern of its skin, so I’m surmising that “rendered reticulation” must mean it was made, or rendered, with such a pattern.
But “articulated” would mean “jointed”/moveable parts.
I love the creativity that went into it by the maker. It took some imagination/creativity and turned out lovely!
