It is made from brass and about 6 feet tall.I was trying to search the background on it and no luck.It was my grandmothers.

Late 1800's, early 1900's Islamic style lamp most likely from Egypt. These were made in sections so the buyer could easily take it home and reassemble. Typical souvenir for those that could afford "The Grand Tour" on a passenger cruise ship. Electrification was added later.
