A wall plaque that I gave to a friend today who collects Italian pottery. Love the enamel details. Marmaca might be the factory. Not marked.

Beautiful plaque with dramatic & lovely lady image, wonderful gift
Funny how a word, never used in my vocabulary that I can recall, but stashed in my brain somewhere, can just spring to the surface: a look at the seductive lady surrounded by sizzling lava and the word “Vamp” came to mind!
I wonder it that’s what the artist was meaning to convey? Maybe there’s a title of the piece recorded somewhere....I would love to know.

Vamp is a good word for it, WATCHSEARCHER. I also see the oriental features that MSCRYSATALSHIP notes too, But I’m reminded of the fashion model pouting pix from the 50’s .... the bow and those eyes give that vamp look but she’s putting on gloves and she means business.
Definitely an alluring young lady!

Vetraio50, I woke up this morning with your lava lady on my mind. Specially, thinking of her gloves ....now I’ve got it!!
She’s not putting ON the gloves....she’s taking them OFF!
The clothing at her neck is a scarf.
We are seeing bare skin except for the scarf, gloves and bow.
She’s stripping!!
If you had not mentioned “putting on gloves”, I would have made the connection.
The artist got it perfectly right to put this beauty, with her particular expression, performing this activity, surrounded by heat—hot enough to boil the lava.....

I have one of these-- similar --large 21 inch vase --says Italy--hand painted- By Prof Melion? has number 237--same red and black colors --but shinny
