I obtained a few of these at an auction, for minimal costs. This plate is 24Cm in diameter, and is a heavy ceramic item made by Wellesville China, of Ohio, USA. It features the 3 green striped Saratoga pattern. If it had 2 green stripes, it would have been of the Niagara pattern.

Wellesville is defunct, are all of the other great USA china producing companies including Buffalo China, Syracuse China, Jackson China, and other manufactories. Much of this durable stock remains in service, in restaurants and in homes. Some of the pieces featured restaurant names and/or fancy patterns, and are appreciated by collectors and nostalgia fans.

Love these kinds of plates. I still have a set of nine. They weigh a ton!
