This is a set of (Canadian) Blue Mountain Pottery (BMP) Tall Dogs. They are a close glaze match. I am second owner, and they were purchased as a pair both times. I have owned these for a decade. You will note that one doggie is “crying.” Green Drip Glaze. The clay used by BMP was red in colour. Mint condition.

    Size: Height — 13 3/4”; Base — 7” x 4.”

I do have more sets in the Green Drip, Eileen, than in other colours. Yet, I like Harvest Gold, Cobalt Blue and Red, as well. I think the key is “sets.” I seldom choose a single piece of Blue Mountain, perhaps because if my determination to match; and the way these pieces were painted and fired by individual craftsmen, different times, different kilns, makes that difficult to achieve with individual purchase of items. Everyone, of course, builds their collections in ways that make sense to them; that choice works best for me.
