This vase is 10" high x 6" widest x 5" top. It has a ground and polished bottom and original foil label. ArtGlass was another brand name used by Iwatsu. This vase is one of the nicest surprises I have had in some time. As part of my Japanese art glass education, I have been looking for labeled versions of pieces by various makers. I found this one and it was tall, heavy (over 4 lbs) and attractive, though not stunning. I found it on ebay. The seller, who is very nice and a great seller, was apparently using a floodlight for lighting as the colors looked like almost gray and black. Not quite that bad, but nowhere near the true colors. When I unwrapped it, I almost dropped it, the colors were so vibrant. Yay!
Now to the "faux onyx" comment. If you look at the posts below by racer4four, she shows two ArtGlass vases with faux-paint glass work. This makes me wonder if that was something Iwatsu intentionally did with their ArtGlass line? It is something I am going to be examining as I continue to learn about this maker.

@Broochman - Thank you for the nice comment!
Thanks for clicking the button for my ArtGlass vase Broochman and aura!
It’s so good. This is a great version of their surface finish glass. Great find.
Thanks Karen. I really like this one. The seller did me a favor by overexposing her images. This vase probably would not have lasted very long if the the actual colors were apparent.
