Loetz "Dunkelheliotrop Astglas", PN II-569, ca. 1901

"Dunkelheliotrop" (Dark Heliotrope) is not only a rare color for this decor (Astglas, a combination of "Rusticana" knots and craquelle glass), it's a rare Loetz color generally. While looking at the macro photos, I notice that there are random infrequent small specks of orange in the glass as well (see second photo). Orange is of course the most common color for this decor. The third photo shows the difference between regular "heliotrop" and "dunkelheliotrop". The production notes for PN II-569 only list Orange Astglas - I think all this means is that there were no invoices located that defined this color for this PN, but the color/decor combo is mentioned elsewhere in the Series II paper patterns.
