This vase made by Chribska glass works is 10" high and weighs just under 5 lbs. I have read that this style of glass is going out of fashion, but what's not to like about a big hunk of colorful glass? There are quite a few examples of Chribska's work on CW, but I did not find another 3 lobe vase, so here is one. There are several examples of this color combination. This is not a perfect piece, as there are some air bubbles, one on the surface that creates a tiny sharp bump. Still, very attractive glass, I think.

combo of green and pink is wonderful, several of these out there. My ear to the grapevine is there is a new interest towards the MidCentury glass/crystal produced while under Soviet Block rule.

I started collecting it a few months ago, joined a group and bought a few books. Much to learn but great glass products. Thanks for the post, as usual.

@truthordare - I've read that, too. I take those kinds of analysis with a grain of salt. They usually come from sources who have large collections of whatever items they are making predictions about. It is great glass, though, so you can't go wrong with collecting it IMHO.

Thanks for clicking for my vase!

Here is an article predicting the rise of Soviet era glass interest:

Ebay is a good barometer for what is selling, glass sales are always more difficult especially now with the higher shipping costs. So what you find there is what sellers believe will sell.

I know about Mark Hill, he is also a collector and a friend of Graham Cooley a huge UK collector of this glass amongst other things. They collaborated and had an exhibit in London which was well received about 10 years ago.

Hill has published several books about this category of glass and has also collaborated with Jindrich Parich in the Czech Republic, one of the country's foremost source for this glass's information, and of course a huge collector himself. These are all very nice people.

Good information! Thanks! I picked up an interesting piece on ebay from the Beranek Atelier a few days ago, which I will post when I get it. I've been buying on ebay recently as I just don't get up early enough to get to thrift shops any more!
