    I believe the major in the air force who this hat belonged to served in Korea, and Vietnam. It is amazing how he kept it in such great shape it looks like it has never been worn.

      If he was mostly serving in combat theaters, he most likely rarely had need of his class A uniform. It might have gotten little use. Berkshire hats are very good quality- lovely piece in great condition. Thanks!
