Bought myself an early Birthday gift on the weekend....any excuse is good to buy Art Glass.... This 8 1/4" by 4 1/2" wide Blue Opaline Glass covered and footed dish has deep cut flower and laurel wreath designs that surrounds the lid and body. The designs are filled with rich gold that is completely intact. There is a lot of wear to the under-base consistent with it's age. I have not found a similar covered dish but the rich blue opaline suggests that it's by the Baccarat, France glasshouse.

Hi Bob, did you use a flash with the camera? wondering about the gold brightness. Very lovely blue piece, special find. :-)

Hi Lisa! The flower was in direct light so it glowed. I wanted to show the cut detail. Thanks for the comments and love. Bob
