Just finished this wonderful antique wooden puzzle from Victory (one of my favorite brands). This one is called An Old-World Cottage, and it was in perfect shape (no missing pieces - yeah!). I really enjoyed the setting, the colors, and the challenge of building. It was comprised of 300 pieces. I like Victory's approach of not providing a guide picture or illustration, instead stating that "to do wo would destroy much of it's absorbing interest. The greatest pleasure is derived from not knowing beforehand the subject which the Puzzle will make and then to see the picture gradually form as the pieces are assembled". I agree 98% of the time, as sometimes, when stymied by a very difficult puzzle taking way too long, I confess to searching internet images as there may be an image to get me over the hump.

Thanks Keramikos! And you are totally right...nothing worse than spending time searching pile of loose pieces for ones which are not there at all. :oD
