Bought this "STOP THE DAMS" pin, at an antique shop while on a roadtrip to visit family. I bought it because I am interested in environmental issues (and obviously old items).
I assumed that the phrase on the button was meant as propaganda to stop the damming of rivers and the pin itself looks fairly old.
The back of the pin has a paper insert that repeatedly states
"ST.LOUIS BUTTON CO.
MFRS., ST.LOUIS, MO."
Anyone know the time period of the pin or any information about it or anything pertaining to it?
Two pictures are attached - Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Are there any pin or propaganda experts/collectors out there?
If you know even the slightest clue about this pin, please comment! This is driving me crazy! Have been looking online and have found nil, not even a ballpark date.
