Modern, Mid-Century or Contemporary, Lucite Candlesticks

I purchased this pair some time ago at a local thrift. I've searched off and on for something comparable but without success. As suggested in the title these could be contemporary or could date from the mid-century or any time in between. There are no marks. They do appear to be hand crafted. Welcome any/all comments, particularly suggestions as to possible/likely origin and age. Thanks
