This is an awesome Coca Cola cooler chest - fully restored, works like a charm. Had it in my basement in my pool room (holds cases and cases of soft drinks, beer, etc.). Anyone know what it's worth? I paid $3,800 for it in 1996 at Gilly's in Plainfield Indiana.

I was in the $2000.00 - 2500.oo range myself with this economy, and the ebay factor.

Where could I get a good restoration job on one of these? I have one not in too bad a shape.

i want one of these myself, however they seem out my reach money wise. or at least really nice ones. i do find some i can afford here and there but they are so far away from my location out side new orleans, i can't afford shipping. if anyone has one in working condition near nola that they are looking to sell let me know. i can pick up. i have a large enclosed trailer that i can go a good ways with.
      thanks

There are restoration people all over the place; the real key is to make sure you have a really good one, a person who understands the specific colors, parts, etc. of a Coca Cola machine. Here in the Indianapolis area, there's an antique mall called "Gilley's" that sells all kinds of Coca Cola and other soft drink machines - that is where I purchased mine (in the picture above). When I needed some repair work, I simply visited the antique store and there were business cards displayed of people who could repair and restore machines. I would suggest that route, or Googling "Coca Cola Machine Repair" to see what you get.

Kelvin, go ahead and post a picture of yours and a little longer description on it on Show and Tell yourself, and mark it as a mystery item.

I have one of these never restored and it works. However it is not all red. Mine has red on the lid and both ends are red with white letters. The front and back are white with red letters. I would like to know what it is worth. It came from a bar that hasn't been open in over 40 to 50 years.

this is a wd-12 model. most where made late 40's early 50's by westinghouse. dixie. if yours is two tone it is a wh-12 model. prolly worth about the same but not sure. the only difference in the two are the paint schemes from what i have read. i have recently bought a wd-12 model myself and in the process of restoring it.
