COLEMAN-GUY
(1 item)
Manufactured by the ANSONIA BRASS & COPPER CO. Ansonia Copper and Brass Co., founded in 1845 by Anson Greene Phelps on the banks of the Naugatuck River in Connecticut. This rare fresh to the market lamp is all original and would look great hanging in that perfect spot, a bar highlight piece would also be nice. This lamp came from a PEI hotel which is all we have been able to determine so far. Belongs in a Museum don't you think. It measures 36 in high from top of hanger to the bottom of the lamp. The globes diameter is 14 in. We have not touched this lamp since we acquired it as a collector may want to do that themselves. " THE IMPROVED " IS STAMPED ON THE FOUNT AROUND THE COLLAR WITH THE PATENT DATE " PAT JULY 19-87 . THIS RARE HANGING VICTORIAN LAMP IS RARE AND WAS PRODUCED IN LIMITED QUANTITIES BY THIS COMPANY. THE LAST ONE WE SAW SOLD ONLINE FOR 700.00 US FOUR YEARS AGO. A GREAT ADDITION TO THE ALADDIN COLLECTORS AS THIS LAMP LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE AL
Aladdin's MODEL 5 AND MODEL 6 VICTORIAN HANGING LAMP SO MUCH SO THAT I WONDER DID ALADDIN WHICH BEGAN IN 1908 COPY THIS DESIGN? We also have the glass smoke deflector which has been added to the pictures. This down draft design requires a new wick and we have identified a source for one as they stopped producing these around 1930 ALL ORIGINAL AND WILL GIVE OFF A BEAUTIFUL WHITE LIGHT.
