Here's a pic of my dad when he was little on their farm in NH. The first photo is of his Dad - my Pepere. Then my Dad and then my Dad and Pepere and eels they caught so my Memere could make eel pie. The last photo is of My Great Grand Pepere in Canada. He had a difficult life. He lost a number of children in a flood when they were young. He had a total of 16 children - most of whom i know. They immigrated to NH with his widow after he died - soon after this photo was taken. My Pepere became paralyzed late in his life and that gave him the time to study investing and when he died in 1974, he left a large inheritance to his 77 grandchildren. We all were left with trust funds.

Great Family history Pete, and the photos are nice too! :^D I thought that your Family Home photos looked to be from the Northeast, New Hampshire, not too much farther East, or North! :^D
Thanks for giving us a look at your Family's past! :^)

And for SEAN, Pete has shown us his Company, and many different ways to see what He looks like, sometimes you just have to look a little closer, than just the front page, because "h2c" has shown us more of his Life and Culture, including what He looks like, than most others on CW :^D

Nice. I am a genealogist so love old photos! I have a picture of my dad and his best friend as grown men each holding a catfish by one gill and the head reaches their chest and the tail is curled up on the floor. They caught it with bailing wire out of the Mississippi at Hannibal, MO. They both had to brace their elbow against their side to support the weight of the fish.

thanks for all the comments. i think i've posted a pic or two of me on here somewhere. pepere and memere are french canadian terms, for sure - they are the only terms i ever knew growing up. people who know me often comment how much we all look alike, but i think my pepere looks particularly dashing in the first photo here. i'd never seen that photo before this trip.
