2/8/2020 - A contact of a plains museum says this is a Native American pattern before geometric design became popular. Also, the smaller beads indicate Native American. They suggest analyzing the material for more clues to region/tribe. (Something about this completely beaded bag but I can't put a finger on it. The decoration looks floral. The background beads are purple. The strap, that has broken off, is also beaded. The purple lining is machine sewn with a tiny ring pocket in side. Any tidbits or websites to help me figure this one out are appreciated.)
i think this might be Iroquois or the work of a Northeastern tribe. nice!
Beautiful! This might be a start
