Merry Christmas to All

We are wishing all of our new friends here at CW a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for health, happiness, and good hunting in the coming year.

The photo is of a lithograph from the original "Visit of St. Nicholas" booklet published by McLoughlin Bros. in 1869. The drawing is by Thomas Nast, creator of what was to evolve into the modern Santa Claus. The poem is written as first worded by Clement Moore.

We were fortunate enough to find this book in a trunk we purchased maybe 15 years ago that likely had not been opened since around 1905. It was a real time capsule. The book is one of our Christmas time treasures.
