Beranek "ball vase"

This vase is about 8" high x 2" square. I saw this vase when researching Beranek vases on CW. Cool vase! I call it the ball vase, though if you look at the link above, it has a product number (9728/20?). I took a quick look on the on line auction sites and found one for a reasonable sum. It is so unusual that I thought there must be a lot of information and images available for it. I was wrong! In fact, the only other example that I could find was vetraio50's example without a label. This one still has it's label, so I am adding it to CW for that reason. I think it is also a different version (ball size). Not sure if these are scarce because they were low production or just not popular.

I eventually did find a similar vase in bright colors and with a corkscrew design in the ball attributed to Ladislav Oliva here:

The bright colors make it look like a different vase.
