I have this same chair. I bought it new in a store in Seattle in the 1980s. I do not remember the details of the purchase. I remember that it is a nice enough chair that some friends asked me where I bought it and went and got one for themselves, which probably means it wasn't too expensive. Guessing it is probably imported, maybe from the Philippines or maybe Central America. I don't think it is American made.
