I am looking for more information on this VICE-PRESIDENT SPIRO AGNEW WATCH SET. It has never been worn and does work. Thanks for any input. My mother who is now deceased bought the set when it was issued and was kept in a dresser drawer. There are three watch bands with the set.
VERY nice set, most of these have long seen better days, I've only seentwo other complete sets. It was issued in 1971, along with several other one with his likeness. The reason being: in 1970, a college joke was making the rounds that asked simply “Did you know that Mickey Mouse wore a Spiro Agnew watch?” It was meant to demean Agnew as a cartoon character even a cartoon character could make fun of. But to Dr. Hale E. Dougherty, a California physician and Democrat, it became no joke. He actually had just such a watch designed and sold. It was an instant national phenomenon. Thanks for sharing

I have a spiro watch ,just like the one in the picture above,it says swiss on the back with the number 23 on the back,but is that an original? or what do you look for?
@ John: yes they are several different case, the #23 is reference to case size, and all is ok.
