As a practice I keep my glass collector friends under the radar, while we do enjoy an exchange of glass pieces, for very reasonable transactions.
I had to buy a new five shelf display stand last year and it is full already. I am branching out of Deco Czech, and purchasing MCM glass as well as pieces from Italy and Belgium.
My collection has over 200 pieces right now, in spite of having removed quite a few for new owners.
My quest has never been to use the glass as an investment, but rather as an enjoyment and satisfaction of having in hand a variety of pieces that is always inspiring.
Image groupings:
1. Unknown combed swirl glass vases
2. Ruckl satin glass shimmy pfau coral decor pieces
3. Green Ruckl spatter decor group, a good way to see how the same colors were used
4. Baluster vases by Ruckl, same shape 8 inches high, in three different decors. This one is in the Butler Brother Monograph 121, page 21.
