I inherited this chair, it seems to be a very high quality of construction with decorative carving and is very carefully upholstered. It appears to be quite old, the family that it comes from was from the east coast.
I measured the chair it stands 34.5 inches tall measuring from the floor to the center top of the chair which has a carving of two flowers with a partial stem and leaves. It is 24 inches wide and the top of the seat cushion is approximately 17 inches.
As I would like to learn more about this chair I am hoping someone will know something about the maker and also have an idea of when it might have been made.

Still trying to figure out the age of this chair, as I mentioned I was told it was passed down in the family and I inherited it about 2005. Member noob suggested that older chairs in this style are smaller, as I mention above I was surprised at the small size when I received it. Previous photos didn't show the size very well, measurements are given in the original post but now I have added a new photo of the chair along with a standard Hardcover Book to give some scale to the chair.
I hope someone will have some ideas on its age and possibly the maker.
      Thanks Ted
