This is a short necklace made of glass beads that are covered in some sort of foil. I like the gold/green color. The style and the screwclasp that has some age tells me this is an older necklace, maybe 1950's? I think it is european but I don't know. What do you think? The way the beads are conected to the clasp I have seen on other necklaces of nice quality. There are small beads between each bead. The green beads looks the same but are not exactly the same sice, and it makes me think the glassbeads are handmade.
Beautiful luminous beaded necklace, such a lovely shade of green - wonderful find!
Thank you. It's short, just big enough not to choke me :).... You are right about the glassmakers. It is just that the necklace has the same clasp as I have on another necklace that I am certain is German. And the german put together a lot of jewelry :) I don't know where it is ftom, just trying to analyze it.
Ms.ChrystalShip thank you! I also like the color, very vibrant.
Well hey there! Happy new decade to you! This color, along with reds, blues etc... came out again this year for Christmas tree decorations... I'm just talking about the satin finish look. I'm also wondering if they are pearls? That almost looks like nacre to me. Put it gently against your teeth, chalkboard and fingernail sensation or gritty sand feeling?
Thank you and Happy new decade to you too Shareurpassion! I agree it looks like pearls, nacre but the feel quite smooth and heavy.
