I found a few interesting ceramics today! The jug I picked up in a charity shop. I liked the hand painted flowers. It's marked "Cressey Ellgreave, England, A Staffordshire Pottery where I've read that Charlotte Rhead started work. I believe Cressey is the designer. Unfortunately the charity shop stuck the price label on with selotape, and removing it removed some paint. Obviously the jug is just painted and not fixed on by any way. (Not sure of the correct term!)
The Homemaker cup and saucer is classic 1950's, though I think the cup may not be the right one for the saucer, as Homemaker is supposed to be made by Ridgeway, but the saucer is imprinted Alfred Meakin! The Saucer is marked with ilalics Homemaker Made in England.
The two black Wedgwood Jasperware salts are pretty rare. I've never seen this shape before. I think they are salts, I can't think what else they could be. Dated 1967.
The Wedgwood salts are my favorite.
