This is a monumental sized drape or pulled feather décor vase that based on how it was constructed we presume to have been made by Gambaro e Poggi ca. 1990, maybe a bit earlier. It is crystal with expanded silver leaf foil that has been struck to gold tones that gives this it's amber hues. The rim treatment, handles, and wafers are ruby. The applied threads that were pulled up to create the drape pattern are a tortoise shell type of glass. This was a Christmas present to me from Duane.
17-1/8" (43.5 cm) tall
13" (33 cm) across the handles
I designed this vase, it was the vase version of a fixture I designed for Oggetti Miami. The maker is Fabiano Amadi. Period 2005. Very few were made. The decor is called Fenicio. It's red striping over silver not cased.
