    Mystery vase.
Inherited this vase from 102 yr old cousin. She said as long as she remembers it was on her mother’s table.
Vase is shades of blue glaze over brown clay. About 6” tall. I can’t identify the backstamp. Looked online and in maker mark books in library. Have asked a few dealers in antique stores. No one can identify it ... can you?
Cousin and parents lived in San Francisco, CA.. Her father did some import business and traveled to Asia and brought back some bone and bamboo Mah Jong sets.

Nippon has a very large online database of all of their marks, including marks by makers that were licensed by them to use the Nippon trademark. I no longer have the link bookmarked but I assure you it exists and is very in depth and user friendly
