This Imperial Glass compote measures 7.75" height x 7" bowl x 4.5" bottom. Made with a four part mold. I've had this piece for many years and during all of that time is has perched on a small table where generations of cats have crouched to look through the blinds in a front window of my house at birds feeding in a couple of hanging feeders on my front porch and it has inexplicably survived. These used to be fairly common in thrift shops, but it has been several years since I have seen one. It is a nice, sturdy compote with the IG mark inside on the bottom of the bowl. For a numbers of years, it has been filled with marbles made by a competitor, Pilgrim Art Glass.

Thank you vcal!
Great job photoing this bowl, gorgeous piece. Cats are glass enemies so it is very miraculous that this survived their invasion !~
Thanks for your comments PhilDMorris! I saved one of my favorite pieces of glass broken in half by my cat Isom when he was under a year old. A funny story goes with it. He died about three years ago aged 15. I never repaired or disposed of the piece, a Murano ? ashtray. I have been thinking about posting it with his picture. He was white with one blue and one green eye and a really intelligent gentleman.
Thank you Cisum!
