I love and wear Mexican silver jewellery! Because I break everything, these solid pieces are perfect for me. This is the latest addition to my Mexican jewellery collection. I believe it dates to around the middle of the last century. I have not yet found the maker, but I am sure I will do so, eventually.

    Thanks for looking:)

Lovely Mexican silver necklace, the silver ball drops are such a pretty design. Nice find!

Hi Mary, I have not measured it but it fits perfectly around my neck. I guess it is around 15 inches or so. As for the age and maker I am still uncertain. The necklace has neither the eagle mark nor the letter and number system that is now used. I have found jewellery with the same mark as mine and it was stated that it was made in the 1940's, but the maker was not clearly stated. It is my experience that one has to double and triple check any information one finds online. That's the reason I have not made a statement about this. I hope to find some reliable information in the future.
      Gudrun:)

I should have mentioned that the necklace is marked "TNC". This maker is apparently noted in Bille Hougart's book "The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks" on page 239. I don't have the book but it is on my wish list!
