Im thrilled to have found this site! I’ve been searching for information on this Maker’s mark for years and your members have come up with the answer. The Parisian Diamond company!.
I’ve had a small private collection for the last 20 years or so but I gave up adding to it as I thought I would not find the answer. I shall now go out with renewed vigour! I have added 4 pieces from my collection but I also have a fox which I suspect is from the same stable as he is depicted in one of the catalogue pages but no Maker’s mark. Thankyou for all your information on this subject , it’s been a thrill to discover it !
Such beautiful vintage brooches, and so glad for you to have found their designer with help from this site. Welcome to CW, thank you for sharing and hope to see more of your lovely collection
Wow! Another long term collector of these quality pieces!
I'm very happy I could finally bring some light on this maker :-)
That horse is a yummy!
Where are you based?
Oops just saw you said you're dealing jewellery in Somerset!
To be honest I’ve spent the last 20 years assuming that the mark was that of an obscure continental jeweller that would never be found! I’ve scoured Tardys thinking perhaps it was a town mark & was resigned to never know! So I was so pleased to read all the comments. I passed up on a silver paste and tortoiseshell hair comb from the same maker around 15 years ago and have never seen one since but now I see they had a huge range of hair adornments! Thanks for your comments
Beautiful pieces! The horse is extra fantastic! It great that all of us that have pieces share what we have to learn more about what they made. Thanks for sharing!
Thankyou all! I’m definitely on the lookout for more now! I will post here if I find any. It’s a really informative page
