I think that this is a first edition. i bought it as that on ebay and framed it myself in one of my old frames i have kicking around.

Hermit Thrush is the Vermont State Bird. Seen many as I grew up there.
I would believe first edition printing as it is a lithograph but not the original painting.
This is just beautiful, Audubon could paint birds like no one else & you found a great one!

ho2 I was born at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington and grew up about 30 miles north in Manchester. Last time I was up there I hardly recognized the place. Lots of flatlanders moved up there and took the rural country and made a mini concrete jungle.
i grew up about an hour east of you in Claremont/Cornish NH and Westminster West, Vermont - on both sides of the Connecticut River - literally ON the river. born in NY, but both my folks were from NH/VT so we weren't flatlanders!
