I was telling vintagelamp, another long term CW member last week, that my most entertaining way to travel was to visit old places with lots of history, and a slew of architectural housing that have survived in the various styles of many time periods.
This is why I acquired this piece about 15 years ago, I was fascinated with it. It is a heavy slab of plaster, molded and hand painted figural house front from Denmark, with a small signed plaque on the right bottom, ALLAN HYTHOLM, the back has a hook to be hung and made of wood painted black, there is also a document tacked to it, which describes the artist's rendition of Old Architecture as a master ceramist, in several languages.
I had more images of it, but from computer to computer over the years, I did not backup and save all my images. Not even sure if I still have this piece, probably stored in one of my big rubber bins.
Another reason why I love foreign films, the different lifestyles, aesthetics, and habits other countries have. Like a Pandora's box.
