This vase is about 4.75" high and about 3.25" wide at its widest. It is transparent in any light and has "Made in Japan" acid etched on the bottom. It is a variation of a vase which I posted a few weeks ago as an example of generic markings on Japanese art glass imported into the U.S. Both vases are shown in image #4. I post the second vase to show the variation in execution of these small vases, though these are roughly similar in size and shape. Both are very nice quality for such small pieces, but probably present no clues for possible identification of the glass house which made them.

Thank you Thomas, Jenni and fortapache!
Thank you aura and blunderbuss2!
Sweet, and unknown to me too!
Thanks for your comment, Karen. These are extra nice little vases. I really like them.
I found one of these today and it has the etched Made in Japan on the bottom as well. Wish I could attach a photo of it. Love putting it on a light.
Did you ever find the maker?
Very nice vases.
Thanks for your comment and congratulations for adding one of these neat little vases to your pile, Rdecker64. Their quality is very good. Unfortunately, I've never been able to find out anything about them, other than what is apparent. If I ever do find more information, I will update this post.
BTW, if you want to add images of your vase, you can create a new post by clicking on "Post and item" in the upper right of this page.
Thanks kwqd, I will post post it and I will keep digging for info. Researching is really fun for me just not very good at it. Lol
Thanks vcal!
