You can make out the hand scribed initials J.J.S Got this on shakedown at the Dead in Boulder, and they said it was vintage. This must be very vintage pre stamping and "Sterling" stamp. Can't find the artist anywhere. Could it be a JJ and the S stands for sterling? Please help!
JJS looks to be machine engraved and newer than the ring. Maybe owner's initials?
Love it! I believe it's an older piece and this has been hand engraved with one of those hand held machines, not easy to use. It's hard to see the initials as your pic is blurry. I think you are correct from what I can tell it does look like JJS. The thing is, the actual stamps were expensive, probably still are, but many could not afford the stamps and used this type of engraver but changed the way they signed many times. Even when they did get the stamps, they still often would change them, bottom line is that it's hard to tell on some of the signatures. Wish I could have found this for you. It's a lovely cuff.
