Knockoff or reject Trifari

I was looking more closely at this frog brooch when I noticed that it may be marked on its left foot. The mark looks intentional and seems to begin with only a crown over a “T“. I know Trifari was strident on marking their pieces. The partial mark plus the metal loop on the bottom feet make me wonder of this is a castoff piece/reject, or an attempted counterfeit. I posted an actual - although old - picture of the original version of this pin I found online. Didn’t pay anything for the piece but it makes me wonder. Help would be appreciated!
