Found this beauty in the garage thinking it was plate but now not so sure . The hallmarks are not familiar so need some worldly help please.

Silverplate.
Thank you IVAN49. That's a bit odd cus it tests for solid silver ????
It isn't unusual for silver plated to show silver with an acid test. The marks on this item are certainly for silver plate.
Acid test is reliable only if the item is filed deep enough to reach base metal.Otherwise,silver plate will test positive,because acid reacts with superficial layer of silver, not with base metal underneath. This spoon is of good silverplate thickness,as indicated with letter A.
