Curious as to how old this might be. Falkenstein is cast into the brass at the TOP with either 4086 or 4084, its worn and hard to read. I have not removed the felt on the bottom to check for a mark there. It's quite large, almost 3' from the base to top of the harp. I love it, especially since I just paid $5 for it. Wondering what the original shade would have looked like
That would be a Falkenstein lamp. Is there a number on the base somewhere?

Here is the number 4086 attributed to Falkenstein online in the Catalog of Copyright Entries: Third series - Page 50. The like should take you straight to the entry on google books with the info highlighted. ;)
