Today's arrival - this Victorian rainbow glass vase brought a dainty touch of magic to my day.
It was sold as Stevens & Williams, & I think it may possibly be one of their products. The quality is very high.
The vase is made from clear crystal glass with pastel rainbow stripes. It has super fine machine threading extending from the widely crimped top rim to the "waist" of the vase. It measures 10.5 cm tall, 11.2 cm across the top rim, & 5 cm across the base, which has a neatly polished out pontil mark.
In perfect condition with only minor age related shelf wear to the base.
Another rainbow for my happy home!
Beautiful. It could also be a production of Harrach (Toledo - Rainbow) ???
Thank you for your thoughts, larksel - it is a bit different from most of my other rainbow glass, which also has numerous variations. The closest piece I have is a single epergne on a brass stand, which has machine threading all over. However, that piece has much darker colours than this one.
Rainbows in Leura. Fantastic.
This is a beautiful piece.
And lots of rain, too! :-)
Many thanks, Karen!
