DEEP SIAM RED SHERMAN BRACELET W/ ALTERNATING ROWS OF 3 AND 5 STONES
Acquired January 30, 2020.
Over the past 5 years I should have had this bracelet but something always seemed to go wrong. One person had posted an unmarked set last year and said that I should have her bracelet and offered it to me for $200 which I accepted. The next email came saying that she thought after talking to some Sherman collectors that she could make $500. That was a little bit much I thought for unsigned Sherman so I had to wait until the 3rd week of January 2020 for it to happen.
I think that this design in particular is a have to have design that every Sherman collector should have, particularly because it is a larger piece where the colours can really pop ! The deep Siam Red colour is one of Sherman's essential colours and the colour which became his trademark colour. Pretty much all his pieces which are all Siam Red have some arrangement of deep Siam and AB'd Siam stones placed strategically in each piece. By the time this jewellery became so popular, his jewellery had become legendary !~ .....H
So much beauty and elegance in this gorgeous bracelet, the barbell shape links are wonderful and the intense siam red is phenomenal. Most excellent Phil!
Gorgeous Phil and when added to your collection of Siam Red Sherman it is a stand out ! Delighted you finally acquired it . Much love to you xo
Thanks Eileen, there is always someone who will do it !
Actually I am not mad at her as it takes a lot more than that to make me mad at someone and I felt she owned it and could do whatever she wished. Most people I meet I love.
Thank you Mani for the nice comment, much appreciated !~xo
Thank you for the loves VioletOrange, Watchsearcher, Manikin, Ms.CrystalShip, lindap38, blunderbuss2, Brunswick, kyratango and Newfld !~
I love this bracelet. I have one; will have to check to see if it differs at all ... and actually even wear mine, which I don’t do with many of my pieces, and yet should. Yours in in amazing condition. One of my picky problems is with worn japanning. And thank you for showing — by example — how to include a collection as part of a single item post. Yes, $500 is a bit rich for unsigned. Glad you found another.
