New Fender Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar signed by Max Q: All Astronaut Band

My brother works at the Kennedy Space Center. He called me just before the last Shuttle launch and said some Astronauts were in town for the launch and were asked to play at a local club. Steve Robbinson wanted to borrow a bass guitar and amp. I loaned him my Fender Kingsman SCE bass and asked if he would mind signing it. The band members (Steve Robbinson, Chris Hadfield, & Caty Coleman) all signed it. Drummer Chris Ferguson, who was the commander of STS-135 was on base for the launch (7/8/11) and was not playing so could not sign it that night. Chris was back at the Space Center on 8/13/11 and signed it for me at that time.

This guitar is a marriage of two hobbies, guitars and space stuff. You might imagine my excitement when my brother called and introduced me to my first astronaut. I lived in the area for 40+ years and never had one call me to ask for anything. It was a personal joy.
