Beautiful New Martinsville RADIANCE candlesticks identified here by my Collectors Weekly friend(s) who responded to my initial posting. Special thanks to Michael.

Hello,
Your candleholders were made by the New Martinsville Glass Company of New Martinsville West Virginia in the 1930s. The pattern is called Radiance. These candleholders are hard to find, ESPECIALLY with the matching bobeches intact, like yours have.

Hi Michael - WOW and thanks, this one eluded me. Lookong at Mauzy's book (also Gene Florence book) I see a "Candlestick 8" 1-light w/prisms" listed but can't find any pics. Wonder if there are any catalog pages showing it, do you know? In any case, thank you very much for responding to my posting! Joey

Alas, these are not well documented. It was years before they turned up and were reported on. Though they might be shown in books on Depression era glass, I'm not aware of them being in any books on N. M. glass. I did find this candlestick shown in a catalog reprint on page 300 of Colored Glassware of the Depression Era 2 by Hazel Marie Weatherman. This book is the bible of D. G. collecting, and should be owned by any serious glass collector or dealer. I have seen these stix in crystal, amber, ruby, and maybe ice blue. They are not easy to find -- particularly with the bobeches intact.

Hey Michael, you're awesome, thanks! I don't have the "colored glassware" Weatherman books so I'll definitely look those up. Kudos for finding them pictured (catalog); great reference. I love you wrote "stix" for candlesticks ... I'll definitely adopt that one! Thanks again.

I'm happy to help. If you could only buy one glass reference book, it should be Colored Glassware of the Depression Era 2, by Weatherman. I use it more than all my other books, combined. Indispensable.
Do some searches of eBay and Google Images for 'new martinsville radiance candleholders' or '- candlesticks' and see what you can find.

Hi! There was some discussion about these 8 mos ago. I'm wondering if anyone has seen any others WITH the bobeches in the meantime? I've seen two online WITHOUT a bobeche ... a ruby one and a colonial blue one (no "realized price" given though - subscription sites - so I have no idea what the value of the pair above might be). Thanks!

I wonder what a ruby pair would sell for? In the old days it would be at least 200.
