Hindu pendant

Found this junk sale Hunting in eastern Oregon. It appears to be brushed copper. Gold is still quite illustrious, looks like it may have been burned on the side? Was told by fellow Purveyor of Shiny things, that it was quite old and valuable. Not signed, Numbered, or marked.It is a popular Hindu God. The carving is so intricate, and is definitely done by hand. Any help on this piece would be greatly appreciated especially when it was made. Don’t want to ever part with it! Thanks a ton
