When I was the travel editor at Sunset magazine, people used to send me all kinds of stuff. Some of the coolest items came from the Press & Publicity office of Disneyland. This boxed-and-encased light bulb from the Main Street Electrical Parade was one particularly nice bit of swag.
The back story on this item is that lots of Disneyland fans were grumpy (sorry...) when, in 1996, Disney announced it was pulling the plug on the by-then excruciatingly quaint parade. In an effort to make lemonade out of lemons, Disneyland decided to sell each bulb from the parade to raise money for a variety of local charities.
The images above show the side and end of the box, the thing itself (which looks like a Christmas light in a little crown), and the card that accompanied it. I also have the plastic sleeve that held all the pieces together, but it was tough to photograph.
