This was a thrift store find. A rare and beautiful PETROSSIAN Paris caviar spoon/paddle. It measures approximately 6 inches. The stem is sterling silver and the paddle portion is 18k gold. One side of the paddle is labeled PETROSSIAN - Would make a lovely gift for a caviar enthusiast. Of all metals, only gold lets the delicate taste of caviar shine through unaffected. This item is no longer available at any of the Petrossian locations throughout the globe.
when I picked it up, it was black patina all over the silver, so I figure they didn't know what they had. My benefit. thanks
