Antique brass pitcher, given to me by a friend before he passed away at 93. Never said where he came across it but he did travel all over the world as a geologist so it could be from anywhere. Dimension are about 16 inches tall and 42 inches around the largest part of the body. Anyone ever come across one of these before? Or have an idea as to the origin of such a thing? Any info would be interesting, just curious is all.

Any markings on it? Images of the bottom of items are also good as there may be clues there about how it was made, age, etc.

kwqd, good point about the bottom. I checked and there are no markings on the bottom or anywhere else. It seems very well made, just no idea about the history of it, and the gentleman who gave it to me has passed.
